The deal applies to the unlocked GSM version for AT&T and T-Mobile, as well as the Sprint version of the device. Normally these kinds of deals are reserved only when signing a new 2-year customer agreement but you may be pleased to know that the offer is also good for those of you looking to upgrade a line as well.

The slab-style smartphone ships with Android 2.3, aka Gingerbread, and features a 4-inch Super AMOLED screen, 1-GHz processor for showing 3D graphics, VGA front-facing and 5-megapixel rear-facing cameras, and support for near-field communication (NFC). And being a “pure” Android experience, it also features the most up-to-date Google mobile apps, including Google Voice. “Nexus S” is a hot search as retailer Best Buy is currently selling the Google smartphone for free, online and in stores.

The Nexus S 4G for Sprint is the first NFC-enabled Android device on the market and will work with the Google Wallet service that launches later this year. Mashable said, The Nexus S runs Android 2.3, 16GB of flash memory, Gingerbread and features a 1Ghz processor, and a 4-inch touchscreen.

Google is advertising the free offer on its homepage and at the Nexus landing page. The phone is normally $99 or $199, depending on carrier, with a two-year contract, so interested buyers should act fast. So set your clock, and make sure you score one either in-store or online before 11:59 p.m. CST tomorrow. Check out the full details in the PR, just past the break.
